Find out how fast your page really loads
Your site feels fast on your laptop because your laptop is fast. This lens measures a mid-range phone instead, live from Google PageSpeed Insights, so the number is Google's, not ours.
What the lens checks
Does this page load fast enough to keep visitors? Every check below scores a piece of that answer, with the evidence quoted.
Lighthouse performance
The overall Lighthouse performance score, measured live on the mobile strategy. This is what drives the lens's points.
Largest Contentful Paint
How long the main content takes to appear. The target is 2.5 seconds or less on mobile, and an oversized hero image is the usual culprit.
Cumulative Layout Shift
Whether the page moves while it loads. Buttons that jump as someone reaches for them read as broken.
Blocking time and responsiveness
Total Blocking Time high enough to make taps feel ignored, usually from JavaScript the page didn't need.
First Contentful Paint and Speed Index
How quickly anything appears, and how quickly the page looks complete. Both land in the checklist with their measured values.
How it's scored
- 10 of the 100 points. The Lighthouse performance score drives the points; LCP, CLS, TBT, FCP and Speed Index become the itemised checklist.
- Measured live at scan time from Google PageSpeed Insights, mobile strategy. If PSI can't be measured, the report says so rather than guessing.
- These are the Core Web Vitals search actually ranks on, so the same fixes serve both audiences.

What is page speed? Core Web Vitals and what slow costs you
Page speed is how fast your page loads and becomes usable, measured rather than felt. What Core Web Vitals are, why slow pages lose visitors and rankings, and how to make yours quick.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the number come from?
Google PageSpeed Insights, run live against your page on the mobile strategy at scan time. The audit reads the Lighthouse performance score and the individual vitals from that run.
Why is my site fast for me but slow in the audit?
Because the test simulates a mid-range mobile device on an average connection, not your machine on your connection. That gap is the reason mobile-first measurement exists.
What usually moves the score most?
The hero image and JavaScript. An oversized or lazy-loaded hero wrecks LCP, and heavy JavaScript blocks the page from responding. Fixing those two moves the score more than anything else.
